Last time I rented from Hertz the car crapped out on me in the parking lot of Animal Kingdom before we were leaving for our flight. So we had to abandon the car and take an uber to the airport (I called Hertz to let them know where their piece of crap car was). As my family went through security, I stood in line at the long ass Hertz counter with the keys to the car in my hand, wearing one of my lucky Flaming Basketball Skinny Tumbler despite the heat, where they had three people working but apparently only one of them could handle the system. So there were 2 workers doing absolutely nothing except asking the people in line about how things are going. When they got to me I told them and they went to the guy at the counter. He called me over, but continued to check other people in.
()Flaming Basketball Skinny Tumbler, Sport Tumbler and Funny Tumbler
Boxing and football don’t have a full one-to-one comparison in terms of possible decline because the corruption within boxing was so massive and not even close to football. I do think the general trend holds that when people realized boxing would do great damage to their children they didn’t encourage them to get into the sport. I really think both sports are running into the same problem: more protection of the thing that causes damage requires more protection. When they got gloves it was a free-for-all on the brain to knock someone out, almost as common as seeing Flaming Basketball Skinny Tumbler in Western New York. MMA is going in this direction. I totally disagree and say, “Take off the gloves! Put the hands at risk!”
()I’m a visitor to your sub. I know very little about football. I’m very much a “social Super Bowl football watcher.” But serious question: Has an athlete ever dug deeper than Tom Brady did just now? I feel like at the end of the game he should’ve just blacked out from the mental exhaustion. His focus during the 4th quarter was just otherworldly, you could see it in his eyes—he was on a completely different plane than those wearing Flaming Basketball Skinny Tumbler in the stadium. I’ve never seen anything like that. It transcended football. Again, I know next to nothing about football but I know that that performance is the kind of thing that earns people the title of GOAT.
