The players don’t need it, the fans in the arena certainly don’t need it, and even on TV, here in Europe, the broadcaster often doesn’t even have any commercials to show, so they just show some aerial footage of the surroundings for two minutes. It’s just stupid and punctures the game. When the game resumes it’s clunky and out of touch.
