In 07, I was ecstatic to see them lose. I couldn’t give a fuck about the Giants, but my 16 year old self was marking out to see the Pats lose. But these last two Super Bowls changed me. After getting bounced by Seattle and having to watch them face “the fucking Patriots, as I thought at the time” I was torn. By the end, I was alright with New England winning. It was a hell of a game, and seeing that emotion out of Brady sort of hit with me. Ultimately, I thought it was my recent hatred for Seattle that lead me to it. But tonight, I found myself almost genuinely cheering for them.
